Is my patients' information kept private and secure?
Protecting patient information is our top priority. PsychNote AI uses AES-256 encryption (at rest and in transit), audit logging, session auto-lock, and data isolated to your practice. We're built around HIPAA's security requirements and provide a Business Associate Agreement to every practice; we're completing BAAs with our processors before general availability.
Which EHR systems does it integrate with?
PsychNote AI currently integrates with Valant and ChARM EHR via a copy-paste export, and any note can be copied as FHIR R4 for another system. Direct API push to EHRs is on the roadmap.
Can I use my existing transcription app?
Yes. Paste transcripts from Dragon Medical One, Freed AI, Nuance DAX, Otter.ai (Enterprise), or any other HIPAA-compliant transcription app. PsychNote AI also includes built-in Deepgram transcription.
How accurate is the AI-generated SOAP note?
Accuracy depends on transcript quality. Always review AI-generated notes before finalizing. The AI uses your transcript as the source — clear, detailed transcripts produce more accurate notes.
Can I create custom templates?
Yes. Every plan includes unlimited custom templates. Solo / Starter also includes 20 general built-in templates; Core and Practice include all 56, adding the VA, Medicaid, Medicare and specialty sets.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation. Contact support@nmpsychnote.com to request a data export before cancelling.
Does the trial require a credit card?
A credit card is required to start the trial. You will not be charged until the 14-day trial ends. Cancel anytime before the trial ends with no charge.
Is it available on mobile?
Yes. PsychNote AI is fully mobile-responsive and works in any mobile browser. The patient intake form is also mobile-optimized.
Is the session audio recording saved anywhere?
No. The audio is used only to create your note and isn't stored on our servers afterward. What's saved is the finished note in the patient's chart — which you control and can delete. Patients can also decline to be recorded at any time.
Do I still review and edit the notes?
Always. PsychNote AI drafts the note from your transcript; you're the clinician who reviews, edits, and signs it. Nothing is finalized without you — the goal is to save you the typing, not replace your clinical judgment.
Do I need to install anything?
No. PsychNote AI runs in your web browser on your computer, tablet, or phone — nothing to download or install. Live recording works best in Chrome or Edge.
